How to Clean Jewelry
There is a proverb, ‘A jewelry can enhance your beauty’. And people love to be beautiful, that’s why people also love their jewelry.
And, the jewelry should shine!
But, dust and dirt, soaps, lotions and chemicals, even sun, air and moisture can dull/rust your favorite pieces over time and rob them of their gleam.

Gentle way to clean fine jewelry:
All you will need is a dish, soft warm water, a soft bristle brush, and some mild dish detergent. Mix a drop of dish soap in a bowl with some lukewarm water. For extremely soiled fine jewelry that does not have fragile gemstones, soak the jewelry in the mixture for a few minutes. Next, use the brush to buff away any dirt and residue gently. For dirt in hard to reach spots, carefully use a toothpick to dislodge it. Finally, pat the jewelry dry and allow it to air dry completely before using.
How to Clean Gold Jewelry:
Mix a teaspoon mild dishwashing liquid in warm water. For the best glow you may use one spoon ammonia. Soak the jewelry in the solution and use a soft brush to remove dust and marks. Rinse in clean water and allow it to air dry.
How to Clean Diamonds:
Gently scrub the diamond with a soft bristle brush and mixture of warm water and mild soap. To bring the sparkle on it use an ammonia based cleaner.
How to Clean Gemstones:
Wash it gently using a soft brush and a mixture of mild soap and soft warm water.
Note: Always remember that delicate gemstones should never be saturated for more than a few seconds.
How to Clean Pearls:
To clean pearls, start gently by laying the strand on a soft cloth. Dip a clean, small soft brush into a mixture of soft warm water and a little mild shampoo, and go over each pearl. To finish, rinse the pearls with a clean, well-wrung damp cloth and Let dry by itself to prevent any scratch.
How to clean jewelry rust:
Cover a bowl with aluminum foil. Add one teaspoon baking soda, a little salt in warm water. Stir it until dissolved. Add jewelry to the solution and let it soak 2 – 3 minutes. Remove and clean it gently with a clean cloth or soft brush.
How to Clean Silver Jewelry:
Make a solution of soda and aluminum foil and let the jewelry soak for 30 minutes. Remove from water and wipe clean Finally let it dry in air.
